Intercon Tech team is comprised of individuals that have worked together for up to 20 years on various technologies ranging from custom controllers to wireless communication systems to custom printer solutions. Our capabilities range from system architecture to detailed implementation of hardware, firmware, and software. Our areas of expertise include:

Our team has numerous product designs built around application-specific, embedded processors – in technologies ranging from TTL MSI to FPGAs to 65nm CMOS. We architected, designed, and implemented system solutions for 802.11 WLAN chipsets which are used in over 100 million WiFi devices, including essentially all of the first 25 million 802.11b devices that were sold.
We architected and designed a custom microcontroller solution for 3G/4G cellular and the system firmware for the LTE cellular solution. We demonstrated the first full rate LTE handset SoC solution at Mobile World Congress on a pair of FPGAs.
Our software capabilities include systems architecture, driver development, server/client solutions, test software development, embedded firmware development, microcode development, GUI development, standards based and custom network protocol development, and general application development.
We have been actively involved in IEEE standards development with major contributions to the IEEE 802.11 WLAN standard including inventing some of the enabling technology, writing and/or editing major portions of the IEEE 802.11 standard, and writing the formal description of the data communications media access control protocol. We have also participated in standards development for 802.15, 802.16, 802.22 and JEDEC JC-61.
Intercon Tech LLC is comprised of a core group of individuals with skills for system architecture and design, hardware and software design and development, network protocol design and development, and test system development. With access to an extended team of software developers who are able to support and augment our current skill set if additional resources are needed.
